Hey there, I'm Flynn.
And I love to create.
Ever since I was a kid drawing Star Wars characters duelling, I had an itch to scratch. Ideas started to pop into my head, and all I wanted to do was to bring them to life.
Once I figured out you could make money and build a career out of this, I was sucked into the world of creative.
While studying Advertising at RMIT, I was playing in bands around Melbourne which got me to dip my toes into Design & Social Media. No one else was going to sort your posters, merch and Instagram posts for you, so I got on the tools and figured out what a blending mode was.
Soon enough, it came to me that I enjoyed designing and creating, so I started my own streetwear brand called INCOHERENT THOUGHT. Initially guided around abstract concepts combined with horror themes, over time turned into my own freelance design studio, where I've built merchandise ranges & social media content for some of my favourite artists including Sleep Token, Metallica, Aunty Donna, Sooshi Mango & The Rions to name a few.
Pushing myself in the advertising & social media space is what led me to join the team at First Ever. As the Graphic Artist & Designer, I work across my two favourite disciplines, merchandise design & digital marketing. This means my day to day flows from working as part of the design team to create & manage the core merchandise program for the NBL, to working alongside the Digital Marketing Manager to drive the design of our digital marketing campaigns. These campaigns cover a multitude of stores, as I produce static and video assets across our social channels, websites, EDMs and printed collateral.
All in all, I'm at peak happiness when I've got a brief in one hand and a pen tool in the other (likely with a fine accompaniment of some Enter Shikari or King Gizz's 54th album).
If you're looking for someone who loves to sit with a brief and work out some pixels, then I'm your guy.
If you're looking for a playlist and you've got a really niche type of heavy music stuck in your head, I'm your guy.
If you're looking for the Loch Ness monster, I'm sorry but I haven't cracked that one yet. I could be your guy in about 5-10 years time weather depending.
