My safe word is murder - cry tee
To launch alongside the release of their cover of Ashnikko’s ‘Cry’, this tee features a re-work of the cover art that I designed for the single.
Heroing the bands vocalist Grace as our bad-ass hero, I wanted to pair the visual with an early 2000’s punk look with the star and logo text, which really encapsulates the bands raw punk sound. -
OCEAN ALLEY - BABY KING TEE
Following the viral moment at their 2023 Splendour In The Grass set where they re-enacted the famous Simba birth scene from the Lion King, Ocean Alley requested a tee to help commemorate the moment.
Keeping to a minimal single colour design, I brought this idea to life through a super grainy style on our hero image, creating a slightly vintage look to keep in line with Ocean Alley's previous designs. -
YOURS TRULY - IF YOU'RE DROWNING TEE
Celebrating the anniversary of Yours Truly's 2022 EP 'is this what I look like?', the band wanted a streetwear influenced design for their song If You're Drowning (I'll Learn How To Hold My Breath).
Bringing out the songs themes of contrast with ideas of heaven and hell, using the focal point of the angel with the gritty background elements really helped to reflect the songs motifs, and when paired with a Teal & Purple colour scheme, the design really sang on the black tee. -
The Rions - minivan pack
To launch the bands new single 'Minivan', The Rions wanted to expand their visual identity into a merch pack, allowing their audience to live their own 'Minivan' experience.
Taking on a more vintage aesthetic, the band wanted their beloved Delica to be the focal point for the campaign, so I expanded the Delica and the bands style across a merch pack fit for the perfect road trip. -
AS ABOVE SO BELOW, 2014 (it bootleg)
The first bootleg release under my design moniker INCOHERENT THOUGHT - was John Erick Dowdle’s 2014 film ‘As Above, So Below’.
One of the more fun interpretations of Dante Alighieri's infamous 14th century epic poem Inferno, ‘As Above, So Below’ is a found footage horror following the story of a documentary crew exploring the Parisian Catacombs. -
TEEN JESUS & THE JEAN TEASERS - ALBUM TEE
With the exciting launch of the band's debut album, Teen Jesus wanted a tee for their launch campaign to show off the album art.
Wanting to keep the design simple, I opted for a late 90's cold blue colour scheme, stacking a two-tone bitmap of the album art to give the design a textured look, and feel intended for a shirt design. -
OCEAN GROVE - NEVERSOFT BOOTLEG TEE
With the revival of early 2000's designs slowly returning, I pitched this bootleg idea to Ocean Grove, as they're one of the most fashion-forward bands in the Aussie scene.
Famously known for their work on the Tony Hawk video games, Neversoft's logo hits the perfect intersection of fun, goofy and brutal - perfect for a band such as Ocean Grove. -
the rions - sweet cocoon tour tee
Tour tee rustled up for the surf rock legends in The Rions, getting to tinker with new and different ways of treating their wordmarks really allowed me to figure out interesting ways of balancing the garments with the minimal aesthetic.
This tee was a great challenge as I was able to break down their tour poster into a polished 3 colour print for the back design, while keeping a nice textured finish to the design and continuing the speckled tones that you see in the range. -
SLEEP TOKEN - ASCENSIONISM TEE
One of my favourite designs from 2024, was this tee for Ascensionism off 2023’s ‘Take Me Back To Eden’.
I’ve been looking for a great way to work with these faded tees that AS Colour had being to release in 2024, so I finally found this awesome Purple / Black colour scheme that paired beautifully on the garment, so all I needed was to figure out the song to use. The bridge of Ascensionism has this great repeating pattern whispered by Vessel that I thought fit perfectly on a circular design, and I’m super proud of how it came out.
